BLUE CARBON
PRODUCT WARRANTY AGREEMENT
1. WARRANTY STATEMENT
BLUE CARBON
is committed to providing customers with reliable, high-quality renewable
energy products designed for residential, commercial, industrial, and other
applications.
This
Warranty Agreement sets out the terms and conditions under which BLUE CARBON
provides warranty coverage for eligible Lithium Batteries, Solar Inverters,
Solar Panels, and Solar Street Lights purchased through an authorized BLUE
CARBON distributor, dealer, or approved sales channel.
Subject to
the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement, BLUE CARBON warrants that
eligible products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during
the applicable warranty period.
This
warranty is intended to provide customers with confidence when purchasing
genuine BLUE CARBON products and to establish a clear process for handling
legitimate warranty claims.
2.
PRODUCTS COVERED
This Warranty Agreement applies to eligible genuine BLUE CARBON products, including:

The exact
warranty period applicable to a product shall be determined by the product
model, purchase documentation, warranty certificate, and/or applicable BLUE
CARBON warranty policy in effect at the date of purchase.
3. WARRANTY PERIOD
The warranty
period begins on the date of purchase stated on the original invoice, receipt,
or other valid proof of purchase, unless otherwise specified in writing by BLUE
CARBON.

For lithium batteries, any stated performance warranty, cycle-life warranty,
capacity-retention warranty, or throughput limitation shall be governed by the
specific product warranty documentation.
4. LITHIUM BATTERY WARRANTY
BLUE CARBON
lithium batteries are designed for long-term energy storage applications.
Where applicable, the battery warranty covers manufacturing defects affecting:

Battery
cells
·
Battery
management system (BMS)
·
Internal
electrical connections
·
Factory-installed
electronic components
·
Manufacturing
workmanship
The warranty
does not mean that the battery will maintain its original capacity
indefinitely. Battery capacity naturally changes with usage, age, operating
temperature, depth of discharge, charging conditions, and other factors.
Where a
capacity-retention warranty applies, the applicable minimum capacity threshold
shall be stated in the product-specific warranty documentation.
5. LITHIUM BATTERY OPERATING REQUIREMENTS
To remain eligible for warranty coverage, the customer must operate the battery according to BLUE CARBON’s technical specifications.
The customer
must:
1.
Use
a compatible inverter or charger.
2.
Follow
the recommended charging voltage and current.
3.
Follow
the recommended discharge limits.
4.
Avoid
unauthorized modification of the battery.
5.
Avoid
exposure to prohibited environmental conditions.
6.
Maintain
appropriate operating temperatures.
7.
Ensure
correct installation.
8.
Ensure
appropriate ventilation and installation clearance where required.
9.
Avoid
physical damage to the battery.
10.
Follow
the applicable battery user manual.
Where BMS communication is required, the battery should be connected to a compatible inverter using the recommended communication method and configuration.
6. SOLAR INVERTER WARRANTY
BLUE CARBON
warrants eligible solar inverters against manufacturing defects in materials
and workmanship during the applicable warranty period.
Coverage may include defects involving:

Internal
electronic components
·
Control
boards
·
Factory-installed
power components
·
Display/control
interfaces
·
Manufacturing
workmanship
·
The
inverter must be installed, configured, and operated according to the
manufacturer's specifications.
·
Warranty
coverage may be affected if the inverter is:
·
Incorrectly
sized
·
Incorrectly
installed
·
Connected
to incompatible batteries
·
Connected
to an unsuitable PV array
·
Subjected
to electrical conditions outside its specifications
·
Modified
without authorization
7. SOLAR PANEL WARRANTY
BLUE CARBON
solar panels are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and
workmanship in accordance with the applicable product warranty.
Solar panel warranty coverage may include defects affecting:

Photovoltaic
module construction
·
Factory-installed
components
·
Electrical
connections
·
Manufacturing
workmanship
Where applicable, a separate Product Warranty may apply.
Product
Warranty: 15 years
Life Span : 25 years
8. SOLAR STREET LIGHT WARRANTY
BLUE CARBON solar street lights are warranted against manufacturing defects during the applicable warranty period.
Depending on the model, warranty coverage may include:

LED
lighting system
·
Controller
·
Battery
·
Internal
wiring
·
Factory-installed
electronics
·
Manufacturing
defects
The warranty
period and coverage may differ between the individual components of an
integrated solar streetlight.
The customer
must ensure that the streetlight is properly installed and operated according
to BLUE CARBON specifications.
9. WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS
To submit a
warranty claim, the customer should provide:

Original
purchase invoice or receipt.
·
Warranty
certificate, where applicable.
·
Product
model number.
·
Product
serial number.
·
Date
of purchase.
·
Description
of the problem.
·
Photographs
or videos showing the alleged defect where requested.
·
Installation
details, where applicable.
·
Relevant
system information, including inverter and battery configuration where
applicable.
·
Any
diagnostic information requested by BLUE CARBON.
BLUE CARBON
reserves the right to request additional information reasonably necessary to
assess a warranty claim.
10. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS
The customer
should first contact the authorized BLUE CARBON dealer, distributor, installer,
or BLUE CARBON customer support channel.
The warranty process may include:
Step 1 -Claim
Registration
The customer
submits the warranty claim and supporting documentation.
Step 2 -Initial
Assessment
BLUE CARBON or its authorized representative reviews the information and may conduct preliminary troubleshooting.
Step 3 -Technical
Diagnosis
Where necessary, the product may be inspected by an authorized technician.
Step 4 -Warranty
Determination
BLUE CARBON determines whether the reported issue is covered by the applicable warranty.
Step 5 -Resolution
Where a
claim is approved, BLUE CARBON may, subject to the applicable warranty terms:

Repair
the product;

Replace
the defective component;
·
Replace
the product;
·
Provide
an equivalent or substantially equivalent product; or
· Provide another remedy permitted under the applicable warranty policy and law.
11.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover damage caused by circumstances outside normal manufacturing defects, including but not limited to:

12. BATTERY-SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS
Lithium battery warranty coverage does not normally cover degradation caused solely by normal aging and expected battery cycling, provided the battery remains within the manufacturer's specified performance limits.
Warranty
coverage may be excluded where damage results from:

13. SOLAR PANEL-SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS
Solar panel
warranty coverage does not normally include damage caused by:

transportation

Improper
handling

Incorrect
installation

Unauthorized
modification
·
Broken
glass caused by impact
·
Improper
mounting
·
Excessive
mechanical stress
·
Improper
cleaning methods
·
Chemical
exposure
·
Environmental
conditions beyond the panel's specifications
Normal
visual changes that do not affect the panel's electrical performance may not
constitute a warranty defect.
14. SOLAR STREET LIGHT-SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS
Solar street
light warranty coverage may not apply to damage resulting from:

Incorrect
pole installation
·
Improper
mounting
·
Physical
impact
·
Vandalism
·
Theft
·
Water
ingress caused by improper installation
·
Unauthorized
modification
·
Incorrect
wiring
Extreme
environmental conditions outside specifications
Damage
caused by external electrical equipment
15. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
For optimal
product performance, customers are strongly advised to use qualified and
experienced solar installation professionals.
The installer must ensure:

Correct
system sizing
·
Correct
cable selection
·
Correct
polarity
·
Proper
earthing
·
Appropriate
surge protection
·
Correct
inverter configuration
·
Correct
battery configuration
·
Correct
PV array configuration
·
Compliance
with applicable electrical standards
Poor installation can negatively affect product performance and may invalidate warranty coverage where the damage results from the installation.
16. PARALLEL AND MULTIPLE BATTERY CONNECTIONS
Where multiple lithium batteries are connected in parallel or another supported configuration, the connection must comply with BLUE CARBON's technical requirements.
The installer must ensure:

Compatible
battery models
·
Compatible
firmware where applicable
·
Correct
cable sizing
·
Proper
battery balancing
·
Correct
BMS communication
·
Correct
inverter configuration
·
Approved
connection method
Unauthorized or improperly configured battery connections may invalidate the warranty for resulting damage.
17. PRODUCT REPLACEMENT
If BLUE CARBON determines that a product is defective and covered under warranty, BLUE CARBON may repair or replace the product or defective component at its discretion, subject to applicable law and the specific warranty terms.
A replacement product may be:

New;
·
Refurbished
to an equivalent standard; or
·
A
substantially equivalent current model.
Where a replacement model is provided because the original model is no longer available, specifications may differ from the original model provided that the replacement is reasonably equivalent.
18. TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS
The responsibility for transportation of a defective product during a warranty claim shall be determined according to BLUE CARBON's applicable warranty policy.
The customer will be responsible for delivering the product to the designated warranty service location.
BLUE CARBON may specify approved logistics arrangements for certain warranty claims.
19. WARRANTY TRANSFER
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable product warranty, the warranty applies to the original purchaser and may not automatically transfer to a subsequent owner.
Any warranty transfer must be approved by BLUE CARBON in writing.
20. WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS
Warranty coverage may be considered void where:

The
serial number has been removed or altered.
·
The
product has been tampered with.
·
The
product has been opened without authorization.
·
Unauthorized
repairs have been performed.
·
Counterfeit
or unauthorized components have been installed.
·
The
product has been intentionally misused.
·
The
product has been operated outside its specified limits.
·
False
information has been provided during a warranty claim.
21. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer is responsible for:
·
Providing
proof of purchase.
·
Installing
the product correctly.
·
Operating
the product according to the user manual.
·
Maintaining
the system appropriately.
·
Protecting
the equipment from avoidable damage.
·
Reporting
suspected defects promptly.
·
Allowing
authorized technicians reasonable access for inspection where necessary.
22. LIMITATION OF WARRANTY
To the
extent permitted by applicable law, this warranty covers the product itself and
does not automatically cover indirect or consequential losses arising from
product failure.
Such losses may include:

Loss
of business
·
Loss
of revenue
·
Loss
of production
·
Loss
of stored energy
·
Loss
of data
·
Loss
of use
·
Other
consequential damages
·
Any
limitation of liability must be interpreted subject to mandatory rights and
remedies available to consumers under applicable Nigerian law.
23. NO UNAUTHORIZED WARRANTY MODIFICATIONS
No employee,
dealer, installer, distributor, or third party may alter, extend, or modify
this warranty unless authorized by BLUE CARBON in writing.
Any additional warranty promised by an unauthorized party shall not automatically constitute a BLUE CARBON warranty.
24.
GENUINE BLUE CARBON PRODUCTS
Warranty coverage applies only to genuine BLUE CARBON products purchased through our Lagos main distribution center or otherwise recognized by BLUE CARBON as eligible for warranty support.
Customers
are strongly encouraged to verify product authenticity before purchase.

Customers
should exercise caution when purchasing products from unauthorized sellers,
impersonators, or fraudulent websites and social media accounts.
25. GOVERNING LAW
This Warranty Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to applicable consumer protection and other mandatory laws.
Any dispute
relating to this Warranty Agreement should first be addressed through
good-faith discussions between the parties.
Where a
dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be referred to the appropriate
dispute-resolution mechanism or court having jurisdiction.
26. IMPORTANT NOTICE
This
warranty is a product warranty and does not replace the technical
specifications, installation manual, safety instructions, or product-specific
warranty documentation.
Customers should carefully read all applicable product documentation before installation and operation.
Warranty periods and performance guarantees may vary between product models. The warranty period printed on the applicable product warranty certificate or officially issued product documentation shall prevail where it differs from a general product category description.
27. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By
purchasing or accepting a BLUE CARBON product, the customer acknowledges that
they have been advised to:
Read the
product manual.
Follow
installation requirements.
Use
qualified installers.
Follow
battery charging and discharging requirements.
Use
compatible equipment.
Maintain
appropriate operating conditions.
Retain proof
of purchase.
Retain the
warranty certificate.
